When it comes to portrait photography, I typically stick with candid photos since waving a camera this size in people's faces tends to change their facial expressions unknowingly. Whether that's trying to over compensate for their lack of smile, turn their head a certain way or even just run away.
However, I purchased some of the studio equipment and above is one of the first shots I took. This is my Niece, and she was more than happy to take a few photos with Uncle Joe.
This was on the 4th of July, after she had been playing and swimming outside all day. So, needless to say that I will have some much better photos in the near future. (Not of a better subject, of course)
